Associate Professor, English Wichita State University

Anne E. Carroll teaches American and African American literature in the English department at Wichita State University. She is the author of Word, Image, and the New Negro: Representation and Identity in the Harlem Renaissance (2005) as well as numerous published essays. She is also an associate editor of and contributor to The Encyclopedia of the Harlem Renaissance (2004).
