Georges Canguilhem (1904 – 95) is one of the most influential philosophers of science in France. His work translated into English includes Ideology and Rationality in the History of the Life Sciences (1988), The Normal and the Pathological (1989), and A Vital Rationalist: Selected Writings of Georges Canguilhem, edited by François Delaporte (1994).
