Jeremy Prestholdt

Jeremy Prestholdt is associate professor of history at the University of California, San Diego. He is the author of Domesticating the World: African Consumerism and the Genealogies of Globalization (2008). His current work addresses violence and the politicization of identity in Kenya. He is also writing on the intersections of politics and consumerism in the appeal of popular icons.
