Robert J. C. Young is a professor of English and comparative literature at New York University. His recent publications include Postcolonialism: A Very Short Introduction (2003), The Idea of English Ethnicity (2008), and “Fanon et le recours à la lutte armée en Afrique” (Les Temps Modernes, nos. 635 – 36 [2005 – 6]).
